Matthew Chanoff

Chief Economist. Mr. Chanoff has a Masters of Arts degree in International Economics and Politics. He has designed and implemented broad-scale market evaluations and market-entry strategies in the United States, China, and Southeast Asia for Fortune 500 companies in several industries, including electronic components, high-tech materials, software, automotive market and aftermarket, chemicals, investment, and professional services. Since 1997, Mr. Chanoff has managed projects for TFI in the areas of supply chain management, new market assessment, customer pre-qualification, acquisitions, and siting manufacturing facilities. Mr. Chanoff manages our custom research projects, delivers recommendations to clients, and is a lead analyst on TFI’s annual contract manufacturing study. He is based in San Francisco.

Tracy Dudley

Tracy Dudley

Market Analyst. Ms. Dudley has a Master of Business Administration degree and is a Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society graduate from the University of Colorado. For more than five years, Ms. Dudley manages and contributes to numerous TFI projects, including state-of-the-industry reports, future trend identification, customer retention tracking, supply-chain management, product feasibility, new-product introduction, mergers and acquisitions, benchmarking practices, customer recognition, and customer needs assessments. Ms. Dudley also has managed high-profile projects in several other industries including financial, healthcare, government, civil, education, automotive, foods, retail, and human resources. Ms. Dudley played a key role in the implementation of TFI’s Quarterly Forum for Electronics Manufacturing Outsourcing and Supply Chain by inviting several original members and regularly contributing to research projects for Quarterly Forum members.

Anne Gilmore-Feith

Anne Gilmore-Feith

Senior Market Analyst. Ms. Gilmore-Feith has more than 18 years in managing business-process management, finance, sales, and customer service. Her tenure prior to consulting was in the international transportation industry, including working at American President Lines (APL). For TFI (since 1999), Ms. Gilmore-Feith conducts interviews with executives and engineers at electronics companies and analyzes manufacturing and outsourcing strategies. For example, she conducted a study and moderated a panel on International Logistics for Electronic Products, and Carriers’ EntrĂ©e into Contract Manufacturing Management for TFI’s Quarterly Forum for Electronics Manufacturing Outsourcing and Supply Chain. Ms. Gilmore-Feith earned her MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and her Bachelor of Science Degree from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana.

Takako Kawakami

Takako Kawakami

Market Analyst. Ms. Kawakami has been conducting electronics industry market research for more than 20 years. Her specialty is serving Japanese electronics companies and other global companies wishing to better understand the Japanese business and consumer markets, and manufacturing / supply-chain practices. Starting in the mid-1990s, Ms. Kawakami started to conduct Japanese-language interviews for TFI on a variety of outsourcing, supply-chain, and environmental topics. She interviewed Kyocera, NEC, and Sony for Pamela Gordon’s book research, resulting in the published book Lean and Green: Profit for Your Workplace and the Environment. Ms. Kawakami splits her time between Palo Alto, California, and Tokyo, Japan.

Fanny Lee

Fanny Lee

TFI China-based Analyst and Public Relations Consultant. Based in Shanghai, Ms. Lee interviews supply-chain partners for TFI’s clients, showcases client abilities, supports sustainability training/reporting, and produces conferences and other events in Asia and abroad. From 1997 to 2001 as practice director at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in Taipei, she orchestrated integrated marketing communications for semiconductor and EMS business groups, conducted EMS research, and organized a major EMS seminar in Taipei. She has a proven track record in business-to-business and business-to-government communications, strategic consulting, corporate affairs, issues management, branding and positioning, market analysis, industry research, customer loyalty, and media campaigns for EMS, ODM, OEM, and other companies. Ms. Lee was awarded a certificate of Advanced Management, Executive Education Program, at the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Mark Natkin

Mark Natkin

TFI China Consultant and Managing Director of Marbridge Consulting Ltd. Based in Beijing, Mr. Natkin manages TFI research studies on topics including customer-satisfaction for electronics manufacturing equipment, environmental requirements of Asian companies, and new-business opportunities for TFI clients. He has more than twelve years experience working in East Asia for various major multinationals, including Weyerhaeuser, Qualcomm, Motorola, and General Electric, as well as for boutique telecom and IT market research and consulting firms. Mr. Natkin has a strong background in sales, marketing, and strategic planning, and has led successful projects in manufacturing localization, China market entry, due diligence, risk assessment, and non-market strategy enhancement. He is a graduate of Princeton University, holds MBA and MA Asian Studies degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, and is fluent in English, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese.

TFI Eco-design Consultant. Leveraging 45 years in engineering, research, quality systems, management, and eco-design, Mr. Adams co-leads Design-for-Environment training for TFI clients – especially in EMEA – and conducts Lifecycle Analyses (LCAs) on TFI clients’ products. Following his role as European Design Centre Manager for Motorola, Mr. Adam was Global Environmental Design Manager for Motorola IESS, during which time developed and integrated eco-design tools into product launch. He represented Motorola Corporation within the European trade association EICTA and led the Supply Chain Management Task Force within it, which resulted in the "Joint Industry Guide" for materials declarations. After Mr. Adams started the firm PlesTech Ltd. in 2002, he developed the eco-design software EcoFly, which today is used by several TFI clients. Mr. Adams who received an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sussex University, is based in the UK.

Kim Allen

Kimberly Allen, Ph.D.

TFI Environment Consultant. Dr. Allen brings her professional experience in global strategy and quantitative analysis to sustainable business. She consults to TFI clients on environmental leadership, roadmapping, carbon footprinting, and benchmarking. She has seven years experience in market analysis with iSuppli Corp., mainly in the areas of emerging electronic display technology and cost modeling. Her work included creating the first quantitative forecasts for new technologies, helping clients commercialize products, and speaking at international business conferences. Prior to iSuppli, she worked in business development for electro-optics research and development firm Reveo. She is the author of two book chapters on the display technology market, dozens of magazine and trade journal articles, and five academic papers. Dr. Allen holds an MBA in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute, the first business school dedicated solely to sustainable business. She received a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, San Diego, and a BS in physics from Cornell University. She is based in San Jose, California.

Holly Evans

Holly Evans

Consultant and Environmental Attorney. Based in Washington DC, Ms. Evans advises and counsels TFI clients on international mandates for electronics recycling, chemical restriction, and energy efficiency. She is past Deputy General Counsel and Director of Environmental Programs for the Electronics Industries Alliance, and before that served as Director of Government Relations for the IPC. Ms. Evans also served as Staff Member for the Eco-Efficiency Task Force of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development. She earned her law degree from University of Connecticut School of law, an MS in environmental law from the Vermont Law School, and an MS in science from the University of Michigan. She is based in Washington, D.C.

Michael Kirschner

Michael Kirschner

TFI Environment Consultant and President of Design Chain Associates, LLC, helping electronics OEMs understand and comply with RoHS/WEEE requirements, decrease time-to-market, reduce product cost, and increase engineering and procurement efficiency. He is an expert in supplier, component and design risk mitigation strategies. Mr. Kirschner has held engineering, engineering management, component engineering, quality assurance, software development, and product design roles positions at Compaq, Tandem, Intel, Intergraph, numerous start-ups. Mr. Kirschner received his BSEE from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. He is based in Silicon Valley.

Nikki Pava

Nikki Pava

TFI Environment Consultant. Ms. Pava brings to TFI’s sustainability consulting a deep background of international business, marketing, and project management. She has worked in a strategic capacity with Fortune 500 companies, small- and medium-sized businesses, and non-profits. In 2006 Ms. Pava founded EcoTuesday, the sustainable business leaders networking forum that takes place each month in 10 cities across the nation. Her cross-cultural business experience includes working with CEOs in Asia, Europe, South America, and the Middle East examining long-term economic strategy, environmental impact and social responsibility endeavors of some of the world’s largest companies. She earned an MBA at the Presidio School of Management in San Francisco — one of the world’s leading educational institutions focusing on sustainable management, and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Danny Salinas

Danny M. Salinas

Environmental Management Consultant. Mr. Salinas has more than 15 years in executive management providing leadership during business startup, product management, technical development, global manufacturing operations, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring programs. His tenure prior to consulting was in the telecom/data com industry, working at Nortel Networks as the Director of Environmental Directives and Accessibility Program. Mr. Salinas spearheaded the global environmental sustainability compliance with RoHS and WEEE requirements working with cross functional and multinational teams across the supply chain. He was also the key architect of the design for accessibility process providing solution ready enterprise products to enable people with disabilities so they can experience the optimum usage of application features that are available to non disabled people. As a member of the TFI Environmental Partnership Program, Mr. Salinas brings about his broad experience by facilitating new processes while recommending improvements to optimize current processes. He holds a BSEE from Cogswell Polytechnic College and a MBA from University of Phoenix.

Jonathan Gilbert

Jonathan Gilbert

TFI Logistics Consultant. An expert in supply chain management, logistics, and planning, Jonathan Gilbert has more than 18 years of experience in improving service, reducing cost, increasing efficiency, and integrating new technologies in diverse industries. At TFI, Mr. Gilbert conducts research and provides consulting services in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, and operations – including measuring environmental footprint of product movement toward reduction of both CO2 and costs. Mr. Gilbert earned a B.S. from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He has held significant leadership positions at NuCO2, a national carbon dioxide gas distributor; electronics component manufacturer MF Electronics; BOC Edwards, a major supplier of electronics process gases, chemicals, and equipment; BOC Group; and Pyle Corporation. Mr. Gilbert also has substantial experience in transportation operations planning, optimization, and capacity analysis. He is based in Florida.

Pamela Wiseman

Senior Operations/Supply Chain Consultant. Ms. Wiseman leverages her 18 years in Global Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain Management to help TFI clients to define and implement strategies addressing complex operations and supply-chain issues. She was Director at United Technologies — managing global supply-chain strategy and tactics for raw materials, and VP of Worldwide Operations for LeCroy Corp. (a mid-sized electronic test-and-measurement company) — defining and implementing new manufacturing and supply-chain strategy including outsourced production and innovative logistics management for the core business and acquired companies. Ms. Wiseman also worked in Operations and Global Service Management for Universal Instruments – a supplier of automation equipment to electronics manufacturers worldwide. She has guest lectured on Operations and Supply Chain at both the Yale School of Management and Cornell University’s Johnson Schoool of Management. She is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in Geology/Physics/Mathematics. She earned an MSEE from the University of Rhode Island, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (concentrations in Operations and Business Policy). She is based in Connecticut.

Cathy Dalton

TFI Marketing Strategist. Ms. Dalton is a marketing consultant with more than 20 years experience in branding, product and program launches, demand generation strategies and programs, marketing communications, partner acquisition strategies and programs, channel strategies, and marketing events. At TFI, Ms. Dalton works with clients to develop and implement appropriate marketing programs in support of environmental and supply chain initiatives. Recently, she has been creative director on a sustainability report for a major electronics association project managed by TFI. Ms. Dalton attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her BA in education. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Beth Dickinson

TFI Marketing Consultant. Ms. Dickinson is a marketing consultant with over 15 years of experience in marketing communications, brand management, multi-channel strategies, project management, and events management for both B2B and B2C clients. At TFI, Ms. Dickinson supports the marketing efforts of clients for environmental and supply-chain initiatives. Examples are contributing to a TFI market report on electronics design and manufacturing in Central and Eastern Europe, and benchmarking corporate sustainability practices. Ms. Dickinson attended Carleton College in MN and San Francisco State University, where she earned her BA in anthropology. She is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Andrea Roberts

Marketing Analyst / Public Relations Consultant. Ms. Roberts provides PR services for TFI’s environmental services clients, contract manufacturers, and original design manufacturers. Ms. Roberts has 33 years of experience in high tech business-to-business marketing where she established extensive contacts with publishers, editors, industry consultants, trade associations, and industry organizations. In addition, she also has national and international marketing experience. Prior to joining TFI, Ms. Roberts served as EVP. at The Oddo Group and Marketing Communications Manager at Four Pi Systems. Ms. Roberts earned a BS from Cornell University, an MA from New York University. She is based in San Diego, California.
